Wholesale Fish and Crab

We source local, line-caught, day-boat fish and crab, all caught in and around the Helford river, Falmouth Bay and the Lizard. This fabulous British resource will be sourced and delivered to restaurants daily with the usual Wright Brothers' standards of service. Local catch includes – lizard crab, diver-caught scallops and sustainable species such as mackerel, ling, sole, pollack, hake, haddock, whiting and sea bass.

With a few small exceptions (south-coast Lizard crab is infinitely superior to its north coast counterpart) we believe that all fish in the sea are created equal. What really sets them apart on the plate is freshness.

•  We only sell fish we land each day
•  If we don't have it we don't sell it
•  If the boats don't go out because of bad weather we don't sell yesterday’s fish. We can't guarantee what the boats will catch each day and we can't guarantee that all the fish   will be exactly the same size, we guarantee one thing – freshness.

We do not fillet or portion our fish as this takes time and means we would lose a day getting the fish to the chefs & their kitchens.The result is fresher fish, cheaper fish and more options and more margins for the chef.

Here's how it works:

• The fishermen go fishing in the morning
• When they return in the afternoon we hand over the cash and they hand over the fish
• We send you an email of what we've got (note - we cannot guarantee when the boats will come in so we cannot guarantee when you will get the email) 
• You send us an email of what you want
• We confirm your order by email (on basis of first come first served)
• We dispatch your fish for next-day delivery
